We at Girthbikes have been working over the past year and half to provide feedback on Profiles Racings MTB product line by testing their product on our racers and dirt-jumpers alike to help improve the line and strengthen their presence in mountain bike components.
This is one of the results of our testing: the 2011 Profile Racing Elite hub!
We received this prototype of the final production hub due out in Jan. 2011 on Friday and had it out to the Alafia Fat-Tire event and the Riverview BMX track this past weekend and already their is a buzz, (no pun intended).
The new rear hub is the fastest MTB hub engagement yet! Less than 3-degrees between clicks! At 204 points, w/6 pawls, 3-teeth per pawl, this is solid! Best part: there is NO drag! Using abec-5 bearings, alloy freehub, and new quick-change axle adapters (3/8" bolt-on and q/r), this is their lightest MTB hub yet at 381 grams.
You are guaranteed to shave seconds off your times or nail that abbubacca fakie you tried all summer and not spend as much as Chris Kings for less engagement!
